Things to consider when upgrading Ball Joints on your SXS

A ball joint isn’t something you want to wait until you have a problem to fix. We consider this preventative maintenance, the reason we recommend doing this before a failure, is because when a ball joint fails it typically takes out more parts. We have seen, tie rods, axles, shocks, radiators, and even frames all damaged from a major hit that included a ball joint failure. Not to mention, it could leave you stranded in a bad spot in the middle of nowhere.

Have there been any issues with the upper ball joints on the Polaris RZR Pro R?

We personally have not seen any issues with upper ball joints on the Pro R or Turbo R. The upper is the same “Pinch Bolt” technology that Polaris has used for years in the Turbo S and Pro XP models. Never a bad idea to upgrade those also.
