Litt Industries Hexik Charge Review

Litt Industries just dropped the Hexik Charge, and it's one of the coolest things to come out of our industry in a long time. Magnetic base, touch-activated, no install required. Here's every feature and both must-have accessories so you know exactly what you're getting.

What's in the Box

When your Hexik Charge shows up, you'll open the box and find a literature pack and the light itself. One thing not to miss: dig all the way into the packaging and grab the USB-C charging cord before throwing the box away. It's in there, tucked in at the bottom.

Magnet and Touch Wireless

The back of the Litt Industries Hexik Charge is a magnet, and a strong one. The second you set it on anything steel, it grabs and stays there. That's what makes it work anywhere.

Use it as a dome light inside the cab. Stick it under the frame when you're changing a belt. Put it on the front end when you're into the suspension. Anywhere you need hands-free light on steel, this thing goes.

The touch wireless piece is huge too. No switches, no wiring, no install. You press the center button three times to unlock it. That lock feature keeps it from firing up in your pocket or in a tool bag when something bumps it and kills your battery. Once it's unlocked, hold the center button to cycle through all the modes.

Light Modes and Output

The Hexik Charge runs four white brightness settings and three red settings. Whatever mode you leave it on when you shut it off is where it comes back to the next time you fire it up. No hunting for your setting every time.

White output:
- Turbo: 612 lumens, 1 hour 20 minutes
- High: 459 lumens, 2 hours 20 minutes
- Medium: 306 lumens, 4 hours 40 minutes
- Low: 153 lumens, 10 hours 30 minutes

Red output:
- High: 367 lumens, 1 hour 30 minutes
- Medium: 275 lumens, 3 hours 30 minutes
- Flashing Red: 6 hours

On that turbo runtime: an hour and 20 minutes might sound short, but think about how you actually use a dome light. You're pulling it out for a minute or two at a time. At turbo, that's well over 100 uses on one charge. And honestly, for most situations you're probably on medium and not thinking about the battery at all.

Battery and Charging

Double-click the center button when the light is off and it shows you your battery percentage. It also warns you when you hit 10%, so you should never get caught with a dead light out on the trail.

Charging is USB-C, zero to full in about an hour. It also runs on pass-through power, meaning it works while it's plugged in. If you forgot to charge it and need it right now, plug it into the USB port in your side-by-side and use it like a corded light.

Flashing Red

If you've got a problem out on the trail and no hazards, put the Hexik Charge on flashing red and stick it to the rear bumper of your car. Anybody coming up behind you on the trail is going to see it. Six hours of runtime on that mode too.

Litt Industries Hexik Charge Magrail QR Tube Mount

The Litt Industries Hexik Charge Magrail QR Tube Mount is the add-on that puts this light on your roll cage. It's a quick-release magnetic rail that mounts to your tube, and the Hexik snaps in and pulls off without any fuss.

It fits 1.75", 1.875" (Can-Am), and 2.00" tubing. The mount is steel, so the Hexik's magnet grabs it the same way it grabs anything else metal. The quick-release design means you're not unclipping or unscrewing anything to remove the light. Pull it off, use it, put it back.

Picture a typical RZR with the bar running down the center of the roof. Run one or two of these mounts down that bar and you've got dedicated dome light spots. The Hexik snaps in when you need it and pops off when you don't.

Litt Industries Hexik Charge Magplate VHB

The Litt Industries Hexik Charge Magplate VHB solves the non-magnetic surface problem. It's a steel plate with semi-permanent 3M VHB adhesive on the back. Stick it where you need a mounting point, and the Hexik snaps right to it.

This is the one you want for aluminum roofs, plastic panels, or the inside of a trunk. If you have a DRT Motorsports trunk or any aluminum storage box, stick a Magplate in there and you've got a dedicated light spot inside. Open it up at night, pop the Hexik in, and you can see everything. The plate is stamped so the light seats in properly and isn't just resting on a flat surface. It locks in.

Polaris Xpedition Setup

For Polaris Xpedition owners, we're building a steel dome light plate that replaces your factory dome light. Same footprint, same bolt pattern. You pull the factory light out, bolt this plate in, and the Hexik Charge goes right in that spot. It's not live yet, but hit us up and we'll get you set up when it's available.

The good news is you don't have to wait for the plate to enjoy this light in your Xpedition. The roll cage grabs the magnet right out of the box. Set it right on the cage, it stays put through doors opening and closing, and you've got a dome light in a spot that actually works for getting in and out of the car. Run a couple of them around the cab and everyone has their own light.

Trail Repair Mode

Say it's the middle of the night and you blow a belt. You've got a headlight, maybe, but you need both hands free. Stick the Hexik Charge to the frame right over the belt area and it lights up exactly what you need to see. Front-end issue, ball joint problem, same deal. Stick it on the frame up front and you're working with both hands free.

The Litt Industries Hexik Charge is in stock now. Pick up the Magrail QR Tube Mount and the Magplate VHB with it and you're set for just about any situation. Any questions, hit us up.
