We recently completed a comprehensive custom build for our client, Devin, and we're excited to share the details. Here's a breakdown of the enhancements and modifications made to his Polaris Xpedition.
Front-End Upgrades
The front of the vehicle features a DRT front bumper, equipped with Baja Designs XL 80 and Squadron Pro lights. The Squadron Pros provide subtle illumination for navigating campsites, while the XL 80s deliver powerful light output when maximum visibility is required. A Factor 55 clevis, paired with a DRT fairlead, enhances the bumper's functionality. Custom marker lights from Lid Industries add a sleek, high-visibility accent.
Behind the bumper, a DRT front mesh grille, powder-coated in dark gray, contrasts with the black components, creating a visually appealing aesthetic. The bumpers were re-powder-coated with a smooth finish, replacing the original crinkle coat.
Suspension and Drivetrain
The Xpedition's performance is significantly enhanced by a full boxed HCR mid-travel kit, Demon axles, and Shock Therapy springs, along with their Ride Improvement System. This combination ensures a comfortable and controlled ride across diverse terrains. Shock Therapy sway bar links and a Super ATV upgraded tie rod kit further reinforce the suspension system. Lid Industries rock lights provide additional illumination and serve as dome lights within the cabin.
Wheels and Tires
The vehicle rides on 33-inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires, specifically designed for side-by-side applications. These tires are mounted on three-piece wheels from Price Designs, custom powder-coated to complement the overall aesthetic.
Lighting and Visibility Enhancements
Baja Designs Squadron lights are mounted on the factory mirrors, offering auxiliary side lighting. All windows have been tinted for added style and protection from the sun.
Body Protection
We opted for the factory Polaris low-profile rock sliders for body protection. These sliders are durable and provide essential protection without compromising ground clearance.
A DRT mesh cover, powder-coated in black and gray, is located in the middle section, along with Viper Machine whip mounts. The rear of the vehicle features DRT mesh inserts over the fenders. All hoses are replaced with RPM silicone tubes for both clutch and air intake systems, with additional Shock Therapy sway bar links.
Rear Bumper and Exhaust
An Electric Off-Road rear bumper, a favorite for ADV builds, offers a clean design with a recessed license plate mount. An RPM exhaust system enhances performance and sound. A custom Lit Industries chase bar, featuring amber and yellow lights, provides ample rear illumination.
Interior Features and Comfort
The interior showcases an AJK bed slide tray with a Dometic refrigerator, offering convenient cold storage without the need for ice, alongside a Rome storage cooler. Blades custom decking is installed throughout the interior, tailgate, and bed.
Inside the cabin, you'll find DRT-built handles and Triple X seats, with the rear seat recovered to match the front seats. The front seats from Triple X are both ventilated and heated, providing climate control for optimal comfort. A full PCI system with a Kenwood radio and PCI intercom provides communication and entertainment. The audio system includes a bass knob, subwoofer, speakers, tweeters, and rear cannons.
Additional interior upgrades include a Viper Machine billet shifter, a DRT grab handle, an MTS Pro R steering wheel with an MTS switch plate, Switch Pros controls, a suede headliner, factory Polaris visors, and a Lit Industries dome light.
Additional Features
The vehicle is equipped with power door locks and remote start for enhanced convenience and security.
