Polaris Xpedition ADV Cabin Cruiser Build

We do a lot of builds that go pretty hard โ€” long travel, every light you can fit, the works. And we love those. But every once in a while a customer comes in and just wants something clean, comfortable, and smart. A car you can load up and actually enjoy all day out on the trail. That's exactly what this one is.

We're calling it the cabin cruiser build, and I think that name fits it perfectly. It's a stock-width Polaris Xpedition ADV with no suspension lift and no wheel spacers, but it is absolutely dialed from front to back. Every piece on this car has a purpose. Let me walk you through it.

Front End

Starting up front with the Elektric Offroad Designs front winch bumper, which is one of our go-to options on the Xpedition right now. Really clean fit and finish, and it gives the front end a much more aggressive presence without overdoing it. We paired it with the Elektric Offroad Designs fairlead and hook to finish off that front bumper setup nice and clean.

For lighting we went with KC Hilites Flexera 4 pods, and the way we wired these is one of my favorite details on the whole car. The amber backlight is tied directly to the ignition, so any time the car is running it has that constant amber glow going. When they need full power for night riding there's a switch inside to fire them up all the way. Really, really clean setup.

The headlights are the XTC Power Products upgraded headlights with built-in amber turn signal integration. In regular daytime mode they just run normal, but when you hit the turn signal they flash amber right in the headlight itself. Functional and sharp looking at the same time.

Wheels & Tires

This one is rolling on Valor Offroad Tango tires in a 32-inch, mounted up to Valor Offroad beadlock wheels. What's really cool here is that the factory color on the Valor wheel just happens to match the black camo on these Xpeditions almost perfectly. Sometimes things just work out โ€” but either way it looks sick.

Because this is a stock-width setup with no spacers and no suspension kit, we were a little curious how the stance would come out. The offset on the Valor wheel handled it completely. Looks planted, looks proportional, looks right. The stance on this thing is awesome just as it sits.

Exterior & Protection

Along the sides we went with the Elektric Offroad Designs rock steps. These are one of those pieces that look good and actually work. They protect the lower body of the car from rocks and debris, and they have traction built into them so they work great as a step to get in and out. Really practical on an ADV that's going to get used.

Polaris factory mirrors went on this one as well. They work great and keep the look simple and clean.

Back at the rear we have the Elektric Offroad Designs rear glass handle, which is one of my favorite small details on any Xpedition build. It's angle-cut so it sits completely flush with the body. Easy way to open and close the rear glass when you're getting into the trunk area, and it looks completely intentional back there. Clean look, every time.

Rear End

The rear bumper is the Elektric Offroad Designs ADV-specific rear bumper, and that detail matters. This bumper is built specifically for the ADV โ€” it doesn't allow the bed to tilt, which is a non-issue on the ADV since the bed doesn't need to tilt. For ADV owners it's one of the cleanest rear bumper options out there right now. We finished it with an XTC Power Products LED license plate frame to keep it legal and tidy.

Inside the rear, this car has the Elektric Offroad Designs sliding trunk system. This is a prototype unit so the production version may look a little different, but the concept is really solid โ€” it runs on sealed ball-bearing rails so it slides in and out smooth every time. Slide it out for full access to your cooler or toolbox, push it back in and everything is tucked away. Perfect setup for a build like this.

Interior

Inside is where the cabin cruiser name really starts to make sense. We kept it clean and intentional. First up are the DRT Motorsports billet interior door handles and the DRT Motorsports billet passenger grab bar. Both are solid billet pieces that immediately elevate the feel of the interior. If you've ever grabbed the factory plastic and compared it to a billet piece you know exactly what I mean.

We threw in the Jagged X Offroad shift knob, which I always love seeing in these cars. Clean billet piece that looks right at home in here.

For sun protection, Polaris factory visors up top to keep it comfortable on those longer cruise days. Simple and effective.

For the turn signal setup, this car has the XTC Power Products self-canceling turn signal kit with the billet lever and the horn and hazard button right there on the column. Makes the car totally street legal, and the billet lever fits the rest of the interior perfectly. Really well thought out system from XTC Power Products.
